Household Hazardous Waste Day - 2015

Saturday, October 31, 2015
9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Volunteers are needed to unload personal vehicles bringing household hazardous waste items to the St. Tammany Parish Collection Days, Saturdays, October 31 at Koop Drive, and November 14 in Slidell. Volunteers must be adults or a minimum of Jr. or Sr. High School age, and be able to stay from 8:00 a.m. through closing at 2:00 p.m. Volunteers must be able to lift materials from vehicles and carry them to holding areas.

 Corrosive cleaners

 Paint: oil, stain, varnish, shellac, latex
 Fluorescent tubes & bulbs

 Lawn & garden products, including pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers
 Lighter fluid
 Metallic mercury

 Automobile & truck tires (limit 5) (limit 300 lbs./ea.)
