Hike at Port Hudson

Baton Rouge Group of the Sierra Club will have a recreational excursion hike at Port Hudson historic site north of Baton Rouge on Saturday, January 24, with January 31 being an alternative Rain Date "redo."

For this outing we'll be offering TWO LENGTH OPTIONS: Gwen Pine will lead a shorter hike and Nancy Grush will lead for hikers interested in the longer route. There are about six trails linking up allowing distances from one to six miles of hiking on site. Some of the trail can be slightly hilly, but it's worth it! There are also two lookout towers available for a higher perspective of the site.

Meet at Coffee Call on College Drive at 9:00 a.m. for carpooling.

State Parks required admission is $4. For those 62 and up, admission is free.

Info about the Park available on http://www.crt.state.la.us/louisiana-state-parks/historic-sites/port-hud...
